Hi! So happy to have you here.  My name is Virginia Christie Lawrence, I go by Christie.  I was never one to really write my thoughts down in a diary, so this blog, or photo journal, is something new for me.  I'm a Colorado native living life in San Diego.  I grew up in a military family, moving every three years, from state to state but also lived abroad.  I'm so used to picking up and going, moving without much thought, so being in San Diego for more than 10 years seems like a long time to be in one place, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  

I live with my husband and our two children, ages 4, Fiona and 5 Michael.  My kids pretty much rule my world.  I've been chasing after them, in the best possible way, non stop for the past five years.  Along the way though I realized I wasn't putting any effort into my personal style and that my style revolved solely around being able to get up and run on a seconds notice. Now that my kids are a bit older I'm having fun finding my style again and putting some thought into when I get dressed.    

Having two kids has opened my eyes again to the world of exploration.  I see things so differently now and take so much pleasure in finding beauty in the simple and the every day.  I work in the corporate world of finance during the day so Flora Love is my creative outlet by night.  I simply want to create and chronicle a photo journal of all the things I find beauty and inspiration in: family, fashion and flora.

My tried and true favorites:

• Orchids, palms, succulents, the ever fickle fiddle leaf fig, the list goes on, I am a plant lover and crave all things green
• Morning light
• Turquoise jewelry, the more the better
• Tea fanatic, English Breakfast always
• Embroidered, eyelet or lace anything
• A good yoga session
• Cold beer and a ball game
• Stevie Wonder
