Art Walk and Moving into Fall

Rita's equal yumm!

Hello kitty cat.

Love how vibrant the colors are and the uniqueness of each piece.

This post is long overdue, things have been so busy around here since my son started Kindergarten. Call me naive but transitioning from three days a week of pre-school to 5 days of K has really kind of taken us by storm.  During the summer we typically let the kids stay up a bit later on the nights that they didn't have school the next day.  Extra time at the beach or just more play time in the driveway.  But as the days are slowly getting shorter I feel myself reminiscing for more summer nights even though I'm craving cooler days.  Thinking more about how much I love our family weekends and how sad I will be as the kids get older and become more involved with school and friends.  I know it's only Kindergarten but it's freaking me out.

These photos were taken in Little Italy during their annual Art Walk in early spring.  It's one of my all time favorite events in San Diego.  So many different artisans come together to display their work. I'm always amazed at the amount of creativity and talent there is among artists.  Walking the streets, looking at art, taking in the live music... it's just a fun place to be.

So much change happening as we move into fall.  I'm trying my best to take the transition in strides, just be in the present and enjoy all these moments.  Looking back at these photos from earlier in the year though makes me smile and fills my heart.  These types of family moments won't always stay the same, but there will be more to come and for that I'm grateful.

Enjoy the first official weekend of fall and thanks for stopping by.

  1. He is soooooo adorable I love it. It's such a great thing that you have trips during the weekend with your family. It helps when life gets too busy to find time to really share it with the one you love. I love that.
